National Animal Supplement Council

NASC Thanks Chuck Francis for his Service Print E-mail

NASC has accepted the resignation of Board member Chuck Francis upon his retirement from industry last month.  Chuck is a founding member of NASC and was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2002.  In his capacity as President of Nutri-Vet LLC, a leading manufacturer and distributor of animal supplements for dogs, cats and horses, Chuck championed NASC's efforts to educate retailers on the value of the seal.  "It was Chuck's insight and effort that positioned NASC with PetSmart," said Board Chairman Bill Bookout.  "I credit him with their decision to embrace the value of NASC and put audited products on their shelves."  Chuck has worked in consumer products, particularly in the human and animal supplement industry, for more than 30 years.  In 2011, Nutri-Vet was bought by Imperial Capital of Toronto. NASC and the membership will continue to benefit from Chuck's efforts for the foreseeable future.  We wish Chuck all the best as he ventures into this next stage of life's journey.

The Board of Directors has elected Scott McCunn, Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for 21st Century Healthcare, Inc., to fill the remainder of Chuck's term.   In 2014, this Board position will be up for election and we are pleased that Scott is willing to serve until then.  21st Century Healthcare has a rich history of commitment to NASC and its future.  We welcome Scott to the Board and are grateful for his service.
