Provisional Status – Two (2) different batch/lot numbers of the same raw material have been submitted for testing by the raw material supplier. Testing performed by the supplier can be submitted by the supplier, provided the testing was performed by a laboratory acceptable to NASC by a standard published testing method.
Approved Status – After a supplier is provisionally approved over twelve (12) months, three (3) additional batch/lot number will be submitted for testing by an NASC Member or other customer not by the vendor or a company related to the vendor, thus eliminating sample bias. If the these tests are in agreement with the certificate of analysis, the raw material will move from provisional status to Approved Status.
