Bill Bookout to Speak at AAFCO 2018 Annual Meeting

NASC President Bill Bookout will speak during the AAFCO 2018 Annual Meeting, which will take place July 28 – August 1 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Bill will co-present with Liz Beckman, Washington State Department of Agriculture, on the topic of “Intended Use and Claims.”

Bill and Liz’s presentation will be part of the AAFCO Non-Medicated Feed Labeling Workshop, which is designed to enable control officials, individuals from the animal feed industry, and others to better understand and interpret the AAFCO Model Regulations for animal feed labeling. This 1-½ day workshop covers both the basics of feed labeling as well as more complex issues such as product claims. A good understanding of the AAFCO Model Regulations is essential to any firm wishing to market animal feed products in the United States.
