Dear NASC Members, Preferred Suppliers and Affiliates:

We are excited to introduce 2 new additions to the NASC TEAM!

Lynsi Rathbun will be joining us as a Marketing Manager. Lynsi has over 10 years of experience in the animal health industry, most recently with GNC where she helped develop, launch and manage over 100 products under the GNC Brand. Her skills include almost every facet in dealing with animal nutrition and health products such as sourcing raw materials, identifying contract manufacturers, marketing, sales, promotional activities, with implementing objectives and measuring results. In her cover letter she lists her personal attributes as: passionate, selfstarter, intellectual horsepower, energetic and results oriented professional.

As marketing manager there will be 3 primary areas of focus:

1. Maximize recognition and value of the NASC Seal through educational initiatives, differentiate audited NASC Members and influence buying decisions
2. Maximize the results and benefits of our qualified Preferred Suppliers
3. Maximize the value of membership for Primary Suppliers You will be hearing more in the near future from Lynsi…

Erica Critchett will be joining us as Compliance Officer replacing Dr. Theresa Brim, who will be sailing off to retirement at the end of September (give or take ). Erica comes to us from Vetoquinol, where she had responsibility in both Quality and Regulatory. Her understanding of the NASC Guidelines and requirements for both feed and health supplements is outstanding and she was instrumental in completing the NASC Audit for Vetoquinol. She has a degree in biology with a minor in chemistry. Not only is she well qualified, I want to pass along an excerpt from an email in her own words:

“I am beyond excited to be joining the NASC team. Thank you so much for inviting me to join in a mission that is rooted so deeply in your heart; I am honored.”

Hiring people is probably the most difficult challenge any manager faces. We had many people that were qualified, many people who presented well, interviewed well and would be an asset to any organization. So why did Lynsi and Erica stand out? They have passion for OUR CAUSE and displayed the intangibles, the skills that cannot be learned or taught; they have “it” in their heart!

We are honored and excited to have them both join the NASC Team and the difference we make for all involved. Welcome aboard Lynsi and Erica! They both start August 10th!
