Congratulations to Allen Gritton, Director of Sales for Pharmore Ingredients, Inc., on his recent election by the NASC membership to the NASC Board of Directors. Allen will serve a three-year term.
Allen has held his position with Pharmore for the past 16 years and was first introduced to NASC in 2006, when Bill Bookout was seeking answers to some challenges NASC member companies were facing with sourcing quality ingredients. Bill was given Allen’s contact information by an existing customer that Pharmore helped overcome similar problems. Since that initial meeting, the Pharmore team has helped countless NASC members solve challenges with sourcing quality raw ingredients, and Pharmore Ingredients was the first NASC Preferred Supplier. The company contributed a great deal of time and effort to creating the program, which has now set the bar and been a model for similar programs throughout the dietary supplement industry, both human and animal.
Allen says his personal philosophy is that in order to succeed, one has to serve. He has witnessed countless examples of NASC members serving the animal industry, as well as their local communities. He believes he will bring knowledge, experience and insight to the NASC Board of Directors from the perspective of the ingredient, import, testing and regulatory side, which is imperative to NASC members’ ability to continue producing quality products today, and staying ahead of the curve as new challenges and opportunities present themselves in the future.
Allen has been a life-long pet owner and has seen firsthand the positive changes in our industry that have directly resulted from NASC’s efforts and the impact of the Quality Seal education program. Allen wholly believes in the NASC mission to “promote the health and wellbeing of companion animals and horses,” and looks forward to serving on the NASC Board of Directors and contributing to the continued success of NASC and its members.
Rotating off the board is Chuck Francis of Vet Worthy Animal Wellness Products, who is a founding member of the NASC and served on the board from 2001 – 2011, and again from 2017– 2020. Chuck is an innovative and visionary leader who put his experience and business acumen to work in helping to build awareness about NASC in China, and in guiding the organization into the future. We are deeply grateful to Chuck for his countless contributions over the years!
We wish to thank each individual who stepped forward as a board nominee. Standing for consideration before your professional peers can be intimidating and we applaud your willingness to serve. The future of the NASC depends on strong leadership and we hope you will consider running again in a future election!
