ANF Pet Recalls Dry Dog Food – Elevated Vitamin D Risk

ANF Pet, Inc. of St. Helena, CA, has issued a voluntary recall of select ANF Pet Lamb and Rice Dog Food products due to potentially elevated levels of vitamin D.

Dogs that have ingested too much vitamin D may exhibit symptoms such as vomiting, loss of appetite, increased thirst, increased urination, excessive drooling, and weight loss. Vitamin D when consumed at very high levels can lead to serious health issues in dogs including renal dysfunction. Consumers with dogs that have eaten a recalled product and are exhibiting symptoms should contact their veterinarian.

Consumers should immediately stop feeding the products listed below, which were distributed in retail stores within Puerto Rico. The affected products have the following UPCs and best-by date codes:

Consumers who have purchased the product affected by this recall should dispose of the product or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
