Blue Buffalo Voluntarily Recalls Canned Dog Food Due to Possible Metal Contamination

Blue Buffalo has issued a voluntary recall of one variety of canned dog food this week due to the possibility of aluminum in the dog food. A supplier notified the company of the possible presence of aluminum in one of their production runs, which prompted the recall by Blue Buffalo.

The recall affects just one lot of one product – Blue Buffalo Homestyle Recipe Healthy Weight Chicken Dinner with Garden Vegetables in 12.5-oz cans – UPC 8-40243-10017-0, Best By Date of 08/03/2019.

According to the Blue Buffalo, the company has not received any reports from pet owners of illness or injury caused by this product.
