NASC Members Raise $1000 for Best Friends Animal Society

During the 2011 Annual Conference, NASC members raised $1,000 for Best Friends Animal Society with sales from The Lost Dogs book and art raffle.  Author of The Lost Dogs and Sports Illustrated writer, Jim Gorant, gave the keynote presentation on May 11 to kick-off the Annual Conference. Gorant revealed the behind-the-scenes story of the rehabilitation of the pit bulls rescued from NFL quarterback Michael Vick’s dog-fighting kennels. Some of the recoveries were so remarkable that several of the rehabilitated dogs are now certified therapy animals.

Thank you to all the conference attendees who purchased copies of The Lost Dogs and raffle tickets!
