NASC Welcomes Kelli Younker as Newest Compliance Team Member

Sun City West, AZ – June 05, 2024 – The National Animal Supplement Council (NASC) is pleased to announce the addition of its newest team member, Kelli Younker, in the role of Compliance Specialist. Kelli will be responsible for tasks including new member onboarding, label trainings, website reviews, NAERS monitoring, and day-to-day member support. Her first day on the job was Wednesday, May 15.

Kelli grew up in Northern New Mexico and throughout high school worked in a veterinary hospital as an assistant veterinary technician. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from New Mexico State University, majoring in agriculture and extension education and minoring in equine science. While at NMSU Kelli was co-captain of the university’s NCAA Women’s Equestrian Team.

Following graduation, Kelli worked as a veterinary technician for over a decade before taking on the role of livestock assistant at the NM Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum. For the past five years, she has worked for the New Mexico Department of Agriculture as a feed specialist.

“Kelli Younker’s education, knowledge of the equestrian world, and her many years working as a veterinary technician and a state feed specialist have prepared her well for this new role,” said Bill Bookout, NASC president and board chair. “Kelli’s first full week on the job took place at the 2024 NASC Annual Conference, where she rolled up her sleeves and pitched in as though she had been on the job for years. We are confident she will be an asset to our team, and a valuable resource to the NASC membership.”

A lifelong equestrian who could ride before she could walk, Kelli has qualified numerous times to compete in the American Quarter Horse Association World Show and continues to show horses and compete at the national level. She also enjoys shooting archery, hunting, and working on her family farm. Kelli owns multiple horses, dogs, and cats, along with various farm animals.
