Out of an abundance of caution, Nestlé Purina PetCare Company has voluntarily recalled a limited amount of wet cat food because the product could contain rubber pieces (which are translucent yellow with a blue backing) that present a potential choking hazard. The company became aware of the issue after receiving complaints from pet owners who observed the rubber pieces in the product. To date, no reports of injury or illness have been reported in cats fed this product, and the recall has been issued as a precaution.

The affected product was distributed nationwide and available for purchase at pet specialty stores and through e-commerce retailers, all of whom have been asked to remove these affected products from their inventories. Nestlé Purina asks consumers who have purchased the affected product to discard it and contact the company for a replacement. If you purchased a variety pack, only the Muse Natural Chicken Recipe in Gravy cans are recalled.
