Sunshine Mills, Inc. of Red Bay, AL, has voluntarily recalled select products of its Evolve, Sportsman’s Pride, and Triumph dry dog foods due to potentially elevated levels of vitamin D.

Dogs that have ingested too much vitamin D may exhibit symptoms such as vomiting, loss of appetite, increased thirst, increased urination, excessive drooling, and weight loss. Vitamin D when consumed at very high levels can lead to serious health issues in dogs including renal dysfunction. Consumers with dogs that have eaten a recalled product and are exhibiting symptoms should contact their veterinarian.

Consumers should immediately stop feeding the products listed below, which were distributed in retail stores within the United States as well as some export distributors in Japan, Puerto Rico, Columbia, Israel, Canada and South Korea.
